Dating back to 1597, Château des Vigiers is an internationally renowned hotel, spa and golf resort situated in South West France.
The resort is just 20 minutes drive' west of Bergerac Airport and about an hour's drive east of Bordeaux. Set in 450 acres of stunning countryside, in the heart of the wine districts of the Dordogne, Château des Vigiers offers an exceptional place in which to unwind and relax.
Château des Vigiers was restored to its former glory in 1991 and is now a beautifully presented four star hotel with a total of 47 rooms and suites.

All children are welcome. All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All of our 47 rooms are individually decorated, fully air conditioned and maintained to the highest 4-star standards. They are situated either in the Château, the Dépendances or in the Résidences du Lac. We operate a no-smoking policy in all our rooms. All our rooms have wireless broadband internet access.
The classic château rooms, located in the patio wing of the château, are comfortably and attractively furnished, and decorated in a more modern style. Most are situated on the ground floor, and there are 13 rooms of between 30 to 35 m².

The deluxe rooms are located in the 16th century château, with views of the golf course or the park. The rooms are spacious with a romantic feel, and each one is individually and tastefully decorated in French country house style with period furniture. There are 12 rooms of between 30 to 45 m².

The junior suite dépendances consist of a terrace on the ground floor, with the bedroom and bathroom on the mezzanine floor. The décor is a warm mix of stone, oak beams and terracotta tiles. There are 11 suites of 55 m².
Classic Double room. 2 nights minimum stay. This package include: - Dinner at the Chai Brasserie (evening menu with 3 courses, drinks excluded); - Illimited access to the Golf, or for non golfers 25 minutes per night of stay of treatments in our Maria Galland Institut; - Free access to the Spa (sauna, hamam, jacuzzi, fitness room, heated outdoor swimming pool); - Welcome gift (3 bottles of wine from our estate).
The restaurant Les Fresques is situated in the east wing of the castle and it offers gorgeous views overlooking the lake and park planted with oak trees. It serves highly inventive French seafood elegantly blending fresh fish, oysters and shellfish to tasty regional specialities.
Please note that a smart/casual dress code is in place.
The brasserie Le Chai is situated in the old wine making building, and it serves tasty regional specialities and light snacks in a cosy and informal atmosphere.
It is open from 12:00 to 23:30.
The buffet breakfast is served in Les Fresques from 07:00 to 10:00, and a continental breakfast can be served in your room from 07.30 to 11:00.
By Car:
From Bergerac (on the D936 road):
- Head towards Bordeaux.
- At Sainte Foy la Grande, turn left (D18 road), the Château des Vigiers will be 8 km away.
From Marmande (on the D933 road):
- Head towards Bergerac then towards Eymet on the D18 road.
- Head towards Sainte Foy la Grande.
From Bordeaux Airport:
- Come out of the airport and head towards Libourne.
- After the traffic light, stay on the right side, which will take you on the bypass (rocade).
- Stay on this road and cross the Aquitaine Bridge.
- At the end of the bridge, follow the signs for Libourne.
- Pass the petrol station and turn right, still heading for Libourne.
- At the traffic light, turn right and you will be on the N89 road.
- Make sure you take the last exit towards Libourne before the toll on the A89 motorway.
- From Libourne, take the D936 road towards Bergerac.
- Follow Bergerac and at the last roundabout ‘Pineuilh’ turn right towards Saint Philippe du Seignal (D18 road) and follow the signs for the ‘Golf de Vigiers’.
By Plane:
The hotel is one hour from Bordeaux International Airport and 20 minutes from Bergerac International Airport.
By Train;
The hotel is easily accessible via Libourne TGV station, or via Bordeaux. Once at the Bordeaux or Libourne train station, you can hire a car or take the TER train (regional rail network) to Sainte-Foy la Grande. The hotel can book you a taxi from Libourne (50 minutes' drive) or from Sainte-Foy la Grande (8 km).
The staff at the hotel will be more than happy to organise any transfers from the airport or the train station, or hire a car for you.
